Dua Lipa can always be counted on to serve up some bold, risk-taking outfit inspiration. Take, for example, her stamp of approval on low-rise pants and everyday sheer looks. The pop star can truly pull off just about anything, including classics, for which she'll sometimes opt in place of her usual daring style.
Case in point? On Monday night, Dua appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, wearing a fail-proof outfit formula that is both on trend and timeless. The pop sensation modeled an oversized crimson button-up blouse tucked into a matching micro-mini lace skirt. Black sheer tights, knee-high leather Tabi boots by Maison Margiela, a smattering of rings, and gold drop earrings provided the finishing touches to her monochromatic look.
Her dark red hair was styled in a half-up, half-down hairstyle with loose curls and face-framing bangs, and her glam featured bold brows, smoky eyes, rosy cheeks, and a glossy pink lip.
Chatting about her new single “Houdini” — which will appear on her forthcoming third album — Lipa shared with Fallon that her new album’s vibe will be geared towards psychedelic-pop, a switch from the dance-party sounds of “Future Nostalgia.” However, Lipa stayed mum about the details and the name of her upcoming project.
“Well, I do not want to give too much away. I can’t, and I’m not ready yet to come and tell you my album title. I’ll come back next time, and I’ll spill all the tea," she said. “I’m still trying to find the language to talk about the album without talking about the album.”
