A huzzah is in order for Elle Fanning and her third Golden Globe nomination for her role as Catherine the Great in Hulu's The Great. This year, Fanning is up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for the third time for the role, and while she hasn't ever taken home the trophy, the fact that this year marks the show's final season may play in her favor. She's up against Rachel Brosnahan, Quinta Brunson, Ayo Edebiri, Selena Gomez, and Natasha Lyonne.

Fanning, who is known to channel her characters when she hits the red carpet, wore a champagne-colored vintage Pierre Balmain gown worthy of royalty. The strapless, floor-skimming gown featured a bow-embellished neckline and a princess ballgown skirt. Matching ivory pointy-toed Jimmy Choo pumps peeked out from under the pleated skirt, and the star accessorized with Cartier jewelry that included a diamond tennis necklace, winged earrings, and a giant pearl statement ring. Her blonde hair was slicked back in a sophisticated low bun.

After her nomination this year, the show's producer, Tony McNamara, congratulated her. He's also nominated this year for his work on Poor Things.

“It’s such a pleasure to be nominated for a Golden Globe with such a stellar list of writers. Congratulations to my Poor Things friends, the brilliant Yorgos, Emma, Mark, Willem, Ed, Andrew, Jerskin, and the entire filmmaking team that brought this story to life," he said. "It is a thrill to see Elle Fanning Nominated for The Great, congratulations to her.”

When she was nominated for the same role in 2021, Fanning told Deadline that she and the cast celebrated in a very appropriate way.

“It was pretty exciting. Everyone obviously yelled ‘huzzah’ because that’s what we do on our show,” Fanning said.
