And she'll never give up her huge sunglasses.

While we're all used to seeing Jennifer Lopez in cutouts, sheer, and plunging necklines, it's not often that we see the multi-hyphenate superstar wearing something that would look right at home on the prairie. Today, Lopez was seen in Los Angeles wearing a deep purple plaid dress with long sleeves, a deep-V neckline that showed off a coordinating peekaboo bandeau, and an eye-catching exotic Birkin bag from Hermès. And while we haven't seen Lopez's bling cup lately, the beloved glam sipper made an appearance, too, though it was in the hands of one of Lopez's associates and not in her own well-manicured fingers.

Lopez's long-sleeved dress included lace detail along the V-neckline and at the long hem, which landed below her knees. She didn't have any jewelry on other than thick gold hoops, letting the bag and its shiny scales steal the show. Lopez also added a pair of oversized sunnies to her look, giving the unusually buttoned-up 'fit a dose of her signature Bronx style.

While Lopez kept her glam to a minimum for the L.A. outing, she recently shared her favorite holiday makeup looks on Instagram, including a red lip. Her favorite scarlet-pouted stars? None other than Marilyn Monroe (duh) and ... Taylor Swift.

"When I think of red lips, I think of Marilyn Monroe, but I also think of Gwen Stefani. I think of Taylor Swift. I am a Swiftie, too," Lopez explained before saying that one of her favorite things about the holidays is "getting to wear a red lip."

Lopez namechecked her beauty line's Beso Balm as one of her go-to products. She spoke about the product recently, telling People that she always has it on hand.

"It really is the product that you throw in your bag, the one that you keep by your nightstand. Whether I'm putting on my makeup or I've just washed my face and I'm going to bed at night, it's the last thing that goes on. So, after creating the skincare, I was like, 'We need a great lip balm. That's what's missing,'" she said.
