Sarah Jessica Parker Elevated the Average LBD With a Dramatic Collar and a Plunging Neckline

If one thing’s for certain about Sarah Jessica Parker’s style, it’s that she doesn’t do boring. That’s why no one was surprised when she kicked off her week at the Manhattan Theatre Club Fall Benefit wearing not your average LBD, but rather something with a little extra fashion flair.

On Monday, the actress arrived at the event’s red carpet in New York City in a little black dress that would surely be Carrie Bradshaw-approved. For the occasion, Parker slipped into a black velvet maxidress complete with long sleeves and an ankle-skimming length. While the dress’s material definitely helped elevate the look on its own, it was the garment’s oversized white collar and plunging V-neckline that really caught our eye. 

Towering black heels adorned with glittery pink bows, a black leather handbag, and a stack of bracelets accessorized Sarah Jessica’s outfit, and she wore her signature honey-blonde hair down in voluminous waves with a middle part. The A-lister kept her glam light and bright for the evening, rounding out her look with a glowy complexion and a glossy brown lip.

Parker’s outing came just days after she channeled her iconic Sex and the City character when stepping out in another velvet dress in NYC. On Thursday night, the actress helped celebrate her new collaboration with jewelry brand Lele Sadoughi while sporting a purple velvet midi dress layered under an ivory trench coat. A separate set of bow-covered heels completed her ensemble, and she wore her hair slicked back into a high bun.
