Leading up to this year's Super Bowl, R&B superstar Usher teased that he'd be bringing out a slew of famous friends to celebrate alongside him — but he didn't name names. And unfortunately for fans, even sleuthy internet fans couldn't get the specifics.
During a press conference with Apple Music, Usher confessed it was “a challenge to squeeze 30 years [of music] into 13 minutes.”
“I was very mindful of my past, celebrating my present—which is here in Las Vegas—and thinking about where we’re headed in the future,” he said. “That was really the idea.” Now that the dust has settled on the show and we've all had a chance to recover from the singer's signature dance moves, here's everyone who came out to perform alongside Usher.
Who Performed with Usher?
Alicia Keys
Alicia played a bright red sculptural piano and sang "If I Aint Got You" before duetting with Usher on "My Boo." Her husband, Swizz Beatz, also came out for "Confessions Part II."
H.E.R.
The Color Purple star and multi-hyphenate wonder slayed a guitar solo and performed "Bad Girl."
will.i.am
Black Eyed Peas alum will.i.am joined Usher for "OMG."
Lil Jon
Everyone's favorite hype man and rapper performed "Turn Down For What."
Ludacris
Naturally, Luda, and Lil John closed out the show with Usher singing the song "Yeah!," committing fully to the throwback vibes of the halftime show.
