Anne Hathaway is still firmly planted in her Gen-Z-credited fashion renaissance, thank you very much. Just days after stepping out in a chunky, Y2K-era belt and a bright green, check-printed gown (both of which we added to our mood boards immediately), the actress was at it again, serving an office-ready twist on the Candian tuxedo — or vice versa, depending on how you look at it.
On Tuesday, Hathaway was spotted heading into a taping of Good Morning America in NYC wearing a hybrid two-piece set that was half pantsuit, half denim-on-denim. Offering the perfect blend of casual and classy, the set’s jacket featured a denim corset bodice attached to the top half of a plain black blazer. The outfit’s bottoms proved to be equally as confusing, consisting of a black pair of trousers combined with a denim waistband.
The A-lister paired the edgy ‘fit with open-toe black platform sandals and a pair of matching black sunglasses, and she wore her brunette hair down in loose, effortless waves with a middle part. In the glam department, Anne opted for a light and rosy makeup look complete with bold brows and a light pink lip.
During her appearance on GMA, Hathaway took some time to chat about her upcoming film, She Came to Me (which she was allowed to speak about amid the SAG-AFTRA strike due to an interim agreement), starring herself, Marisa Tomei, and Peter Dinklage.
“We’ve been talking about the movie and we feel very lucky to be able to talk about the movie and very fortunate to have this interim agreement from our union,” she shared. “And the thing that we kind of keep coming back to is a lot of times people talk about a film as a romantic comedy. And this is sort of a love comedy, in that it’s not just about romantic love. But it’s an ensemble film in which people experience love in all sorts of different ways.”
