Whether it's her business casual twist on the Canadian tuxedo or the revival of larger-than-life belts, the fashion renaissance of Anne Hathaway is all gas, no breaks. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Hathaway channeled another icon with a velvet LBD.

On Thursday, the actress appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, channeling Meryl Streep's Death Becomes Her character Madeline Ashton. For the appearance, Hathaway wore a long-sleeve, plunging velvet black mini with a ruched, ruffled silhouette, reminiscent of Streep's famous LBD in the cult classic. Hathaway rounded out her look with sheer black tights, a pair of coordinating pointed-toe pumps, several diamond rings, and a bold red manicure.

Beauty-wise, she kept it light and simple, styling her brunette hair in effortless waves and a middle part, and complimented her glowing skin with a pink lip, rosy cheeks, and smoky eyes.

Hathaway isn't a stranger to taking a page out of leading ladies' wardrobes. Earlier this week, she arrived at the premiere of her upcoming film She Came To Me in a dress straight out of modern-day Elle Woods's closet. For the event, she donned a rose-pink strapless midi dress from The Attico covered in sequins and complete with a sky-high slit. Only a pair of sparkly pointed-toe pumps and a silver, sequined handbag accessorized her Barbiecore-inspired look.
