Channing Tatum has already won over his future father-in-law, Lenny Kravitz. On Thursday, the musician opened up about his daughter Zoë's engagement to the actor while speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival, revealing that if Zoë's happy, he's happy.
"Hey man, that's life," he said when asked about welcoming Channing into the family. "When your family is happy, when your child is happy, that's it. I've done well," adding that he feels "blessed."
In October, Zoë and Channing quietly got engaged after dating for more than two years. Multiple outlets confirmed the exciting news after the actress was spotted leaving Kendall Jenner's Halloween party, dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse from the 1968 horror movie Rosemary's Baby and sporting a new diamond ring on her left hand.
The couple first met during the casting process of Zoë's movie Pussy Island, and according to the actress, Tatum was her saving grace on set. "Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector, and it was really wonderful and sweet," she shared during a 2022 interview with GQ. "I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger."
Kravitz shared a similar sentiment while speaking with WSJ. Magazine, telling the outlet that she was "really grateful" that the film brought Channing into her life.
