Last night at the 2024 Golden Globes, Margot Robbie continued her M.O. of paying homage to iconic Barbie outfits, but the sentiment didn't stop at the red carpet. After wearing a pink Armani Privé interpretation of 1977's SuperStar Barbie, complete with a frilly tulle boa, she changed into a black version of the same look for the show's after-party at Los Angeles's legendary Chateau Marmont.
The black dress was identical to the pink one, from its all-over sequins to its V neckline and floor-skimming hem. She finished the look with pointy heels and a black tulle boa, mirroring just about every detail of her look from the ceremony. She wore her hair parted in the middle and carried a structured clutch bag for the night's post-awards festivities.
Though Margot and her co-star Ryan Gosling were both nominated for awards, the film's cast didn't take home any trophies. However, Barbie won the Golden Globe for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement on Sunday night. The beloved film also earned an award for Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas. Their track "What Was I Made For?" won for Best Original Song - Motion Picture.
“Thank you to everybody, all the Barbies and Kens in front of and behind the screen. It was the greatest, most joyful show of craftsmanship and passion I’ve ever seen,” director Greta Gerwig said when she and the cast from the film accepted their award.
