After months of Barbie mania, Margot Robbie is finally ready to break character and enter a whole new style era. Case in point? On Saturday, the actress attended W Magazine's Best Performances Party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, and while she was being honored for her role in the Greta Gerwig-directed film, she ditched the pink, and instead, opted for a look that's the complete opposite of Barbiecore.
For the event, Robbie wore a little black dress from Schiaparelli's spring-summer 2024 collection that featured a plunging V neckline, a mini-length hem, and voluminous long sleeves. Skipping tights, Margot's bare legs were on full display and accentuated by a pair of black, pointy-toe slingback pumps with an open key-hole shape in the front. She accessorized with a smattering of sparkly rings and black leather clutch with gold hardware that matched her shoes.
Her long blonde hair was worn down in loose waves with a center part, while the rest of Robbie's glam included rosy cheeks and a swipe of pink lipstick.
Margot's choice of an edgy LBD isn't to say that she will never wear pink again. In fact, just a few days ago, at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards, she stepped out in a pastel-pink minidress covered in black polka-dots from Balmain. The dress featured a corseted bodice, a short skirt with pleating, and two rosette accents on opposite sides. She finished the look off with matching open-toe mules and soft pink glam.
