Travis Kelce may be playing in football's biggest game on Sunday, but the media is more focused on his relationship with Taylor Swift (and her possible/probable appearance at the Super Bowl). During a press conference on Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was asked why he thinks it is that everybody is "fascinated" with his and TSwift's relationship, and he had the sweetest answer.
"The values that we stand for and who we are as people," he explained. "We love to shine light on others, shine light around the people that help and support us."
"I feel like we both have just a love for life," he added.
Perhaps the "values" Kelce mentioned were a nod to their shared devotion to family. Swift is famously close with her family, which includes brother Austin, mother Andrea, and father Scott. Travis also hosts a weekly podcast with his older brother Jason, and their parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, attend many of their games. Or he could be referring to their work ethic and ambition as individuals — after all, she's a billionaire and Grammy-winning artist, and he's highly regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time.
Whatever the reason, though, Swifties and NFL fans alike have been unable to look away from their romance novel-worthy relationship. The singer is currently in Tokyo for her Eras Tour. However, fans have calculated that she could make it to Vegas with plenty of time to spare before the big game (call it Swiftie math). Of course, there's been speculation that a post-game proposal could be in the cards if Kelce were to take home the famed Lombardi trophy. When asked about the possibility of getting down on one knee, Kelce had the best response.
“Is there going to be another ring besides the Super Bowl ring if you win this thing on Sunday?” a reporter asked the football star during a press conference earlier this week, per Page Six. “I’m focused on getting this ring, and that’s all that my mind’s focused on right now," Kelce responded.
Sunday's game could turn out to be a star-studded affair. Besides Swift potentially being in the building, it's looking likely that a certain British royal couple could also be in attendance. Prince Harry made a surprise cameo during Thursday night's NFL Honors in Las Vegas, which suggests that he will be at the Super Bowl. Perhaps his wife, Meghan Markle, has also made the trip — the couple is known to enjoy the occasional sporting event.
