Amal Clooney steals the spotlight at every red carpet on which she steps foot. Besides her undeniable beauty, the human rights attorney is always dressed to the nines, be it a shimmery ombré gown, hot pink crop top, or a mirrored Prada minidress — and as it turns out, Amal is curating all of her looks on her own. That's right, one of Hollywood's best-dressed ladies does not even have a stylist. (Get you a woman who can do it all.)
Her husband George Clooney is the one who spilled the beans about her sans-stylist status. During an interview at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, The Boys in the Boat (to which Amal wore a striking Versace gown), George outed his wife as a bonafide fashion aficionado.
“I’ll put on an outfit, and she’ll come downstairs, and I’m embarrassed,” he told Access. “You know, my wife doesn’t have a stylist. She does it all on her own.”
In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, George continued to say that his wife's outfits embarrass him — only because she always shows him up. “She cleans up,” he said. “I’m always embarrassed because I’m wearing something that I’ve worn, like, 1,000 times."
"My entire career has been reduced to a plus one now," he added. "I did one of those Women in Film things a couple of years ago, and I had to introduce myself as 'Amal Clooney's husband' because, honestly, I was dead otherwise."
Besides being a hype-husband, George is also a father to the couple's 6-year-old twins Ella and Alexander. Oh, and he's an actor, producer, and director, but not as far as his kids are concerned. He told ET that they think all he does "is play in the water." "I did a movie a couple years ago called Midnight Sky. I had to shoot stuff in a tank and they came to visit," he explained. "I'm like in, you know, clothes but I'm in a tank and they just assume that I swim."
He joked, "So whenever I say I go to work, they think I'm swimming."
