George Clooney has been busy promoting his new film and latest stint in directing The Boys in the Boat, which means Amal Clooney has been by his side in a series of seriously good festive looks (hello, sequin-soaked look, black velvet two-piece set, and red paillettes midi dress). However, her latest look was a departure from the reds and sequins and included a bright yellow gown.
Last night, Amal leaned into the dopamine dressing trend at her husband’s Amazon MGM Studios premiere of The Boys In The Boat in Los Angeles. Walking the black carpet arm in arm with George, Amal donned a vibrant lemon-colored Versace gown featuring a sweetheart neckline with spaghetti straps and a flowy A-line skirt that fell to the floor. A pair of metallic silver pointed-toe pumps, a coordinating sequined clutch, and massive diamond drop earrings rounded out her look.
When it came time for glam, her hair and makeup artist, Dimitris Giannetos, opted for a bronzed beat complete with a shimmery gold eye, feathered lashes, and a very glossy pout. Meanwhile, the "golden goddess" styled her long dark hair with tousled curls parted to the side, also perfected by Giannetos.
As for George, he sported a black suit with a navy blue button-down shirt underneath, which he paired with black boots and a silver timepiece.
At the premiere, George proved to be one proud husband, sharing with Entertainment Tonight that he's always "embarrassed" when Amal shows him her look for the evening.
"She cleans up," George said to ET. "I'm always embarrassed because I'm wearing something that I've worn, like, 1,000 times."
Adding, "My entire career has been reduced to a plus one now. I did one of those Women in Film things a couple of years ago, and I had to introduce myself as 'Amal Clooney's husband' because, honestly, I was dead otherwise."
