Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s website, Sussex.com, just received a refresh to usher in the new year.
The royals quietly updated their website to shine a light on their charitable and business endeavors and to detail some of the work they have performed through their nonprofit Archewell Foundation and their for-profit company, Archewell Productions.
“The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is shaping the future through business and philanthropy,” the about page for the website reads. “This includes: the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organizations which receive the support of the couple, individually and/or together.”
The newly revamped website lands on a photo of Harry and Meghan at the 2023 Invictus Games’ closing ceremonies, where they are seen smiling and clapping — the picture also serves as the married pair’s 2023 Christmas card portrait.
Sussexroyal.com now opens with a pop-up message that links to Sussex.com. The website belonged to Harry and Megan while they were senior members of the British royal family, but after stepping down from their duties in 2020, the pair agreed to no longer use “royal” in any of their endeavors, according to U.K. government rule. The rule also applied to their social media accounts, which shut down in March of 2020 — in a final Instagram post, the couple thanked fans for their support and stated they looked “forward to reconnecting with you soon.”
Meghan and Harry currently have multiple unnamed projects under their belts, with a continued partnership with Netflix. According to Netflix’s content chief, Bela Bajaria, "they have a movie and a TV show and a couple of unscripted shows” that are being developed.
Bajaria additionally told People, "They have a movie in development, a [scripted] series that they're working on. So all very early development, with a movie, a TV show, and a couple of unscripted shows."
As for what’s next for Harry and Meghan? Perhaps a brand new Instagram account, where they can share details of their non-profit work with the Archewell Foundation and forthcoming projects under Archewell Productions.
