Everything Lenny Kravitz wears turns to fashion gold. Case in point? The backless Alexander McQueen tuxedo jumpsuit he wore to the 2024 Golden Globes not only made a statement in the moment, but also encouraged Emily Blunt to sport the same look less than a week later.
On Thursday, the actress stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert wearing the exact one-piece as Kravitz. During her interview, she explained that she had already planned on wearing the pantsuit that featured side cutouts and a completely open back for her appearance, and when the rocker showed up to the award ceremony in the same suit, rather than make her want to pick out something new, it only confirmed her choice.
"So, I saw him swaggering across the floor at the Golden Globes. I had already pre-planned this for your show and I thought you know what, no, I'm still going to wear it," she said, adding: "There something about Lenny Kravitz that I feel like it's like when he walks in the room, a bus sort of runs over anyone else's cool factor, you know. It sort of becomes vapor."
While Lenny styled his jumpsuit with sunglasses, a smattering of silver rings, and pointed-toe black boots, Emily, for her part, opted for black ankle-strap sandals with a gold sculptural heel and gold-and-diamond hoops. She pulled her blonde hair back into a messy low bun with a center part and face-framing pieces, and finished off her glam with dewy skin and a pink glossy lip.
Colbert proceeded to hold up a photo of Kravitz at the Globes next to Blunt, prompting her to stand up and jokingly ask the audience, "Who wore it best?"
